Contractor was cast in her first show in the midst of her university year. She received rave reviews for her work in the 92 shows performed this play, which was named as the best production by Canadian critics in 2002. Contractor accepted the offer to attend Stratford's Conservatory program. The Conservatory has only 8 men and four females accepted for the 20-week course in classical theater. Contractor's spot was assured during the upcoming season of shows She was also offered Hermia's character in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
